Occupational Therapist
Melissa is a licensed occupational therapist dedicated to helping children develop the skills and confidence to participate in meaningful everyday activities. She earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh and has experience working with children from birth through young adulthood with a wide range of neurological, developmental, and complex medical conditions.
Her clinical interests include pediatric rehabilitation, upper extremity function, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and technology-assisted interventions. She is passionate about incorporating evidence-based and innovative approaches into therapy to help children maximize their independence, participation, and quality of life.
In addition to her clinical practice, Melissa serves as an adjunct instructor in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program, where she enjoys mentoring future healthcare professionals. She also provides clinical consultation in the field of assistive technology, helping develop innovative solutions that improve accessibility, independence, and participation for individuals with disabilities.
Melissa believes therapy should be engaging, individualized, and family-centered. She partners closely with children and their families to develop meaningful goals while creating a supportive environment where every child can build confidence, celebrate successes, and reach their fullest potential.
